NSW Generic Underground Induction 1 Day Refresher
Course Information:
The Generic Underground Refresher aims to refresher participants skills and knowledge to safely work in the NSW underground mining environment. This course can also include the 6 Monthly requirements to refresh self -escape skills under section 103 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 (NSW).
Entry Requirement:
Before you enrol in this course
- You must have successfully completed Generic Underground Induction or Self-Escape training within the last 18 months prior to booking this course
- You must upload a copy of this evidence when enrolling for the course.
What to Wear:
- Hi-Viz Shirts, Long Pants / Jeans and Steel Capped Boots
If you have long hair it must be tied back
Fully enclosed footwear
What to bring:
- Identification i.e. drivers licence
- USI number
- Lunch / Crib. Tea and coffee making facilities are available and fridges are provided for lunch / crib.

Successful completion

Assessment Types: Practical observation, verbal/written questioning, equipment inspection checklists, risk assessments, and workplace documentation
Assessment Context: Simulated or actual elevated worksite, using industry-standard equipment and PPE
